Versace Fall 2013 - "V" + P"UNK" = "VUNK"
“VUNK”, yes this is the name Donatella chose for her Fall 2013 offering, which was nothing but a fusion of p(unk) and” V” of Versace. Dresses held together with steel nails instantly took us back to the house’s iconic safety pin dress which was worn by Liz Hurley to the premiere of 'Four Weddings and a Funeral' in 1994.
Just Cavalli Fall 2013 " Bhutan in Italy"
The collection was an exotic journey to Bhutan, “Land of The
Thunder Dragon”. Roberto and Eva Cavalli, inspired from a visit to Bhutan last
year, immaculately captured the essence
of the Himalayan kingdom in this
offering for Fall/Winter 2013. They infused ethnic & spiritual Bhutanese motifs
into their collection, in the form of prints and patterns, thus giving a refreshing
and spectacular twist.

Marc Jacobs Fall 2013
Marc Jacobs's Fall 2013 show at New York Fashion Week was
one of a kind visual production. The show was centered around a giant orb sun
that casts a yellow (sepia tinted) light. In the first half, the models emerged
under the giant orb that washed the entire room in spectacular sepia tinted
light, which was quite cinematic. To every one’s surprise, each models appeared
again, this time under full light, so that one could see the colour of each
look.

Oscar De La Renta Fall 2013 at New York Fashion Week
Though John
Galliano was nowhere in sight, it is learnt that he was in the back stage, assisting Oscar de la Renta
with the finishing touches for his Fall
Winter 2013 collection before it was presented at the New York Fashion Week on Tuesday. The
influence of John Galliano’s signature styling was very much visible from the
very first look, be it cloche hat topping, greasy eye make-up or a cinched in waist
reminding of Dior's classic Bar silhouette.

Diane von Fürstenberg Fall Winter 2013
The youthful fall winter
2013 collection by the First Lady of American fashion (remember Diane’s iconic
wrap dress) had a strong essence of 1970s New York fashion. Diane is currently
acting as her own creative director after the exit of her former creative
director Yvan Mispelaere, thus directing the design team herself.

Prabal Gurung Fall Winter 2013
Prabal Gurung‘s Fall Winter 2013 collection was a
celebration of women empowerment. The collection had a strong essence of
military style as the designer took his inspiration from various sources
including a Time magazine article, “The Best Inventions of 2012” that featured
body armor specially designed with a woman's body in mind. He also took his
inspiration from a Ukranian women vigilant group who are fighting against human
trafficking in their country by teaching the art of self-defence.

Etro Fall 2013 - Philosophy of flow

The theme of the collection was based
on pre-Socratic Greek philosopher Heraclitus’ two word philosophy "panta
rei" - literally everything flows, meaning that everything is constantly
changing. True to its theme, the
collection was indeed a cosmic flow, a journey to far lands for inspiration.
The collection with an undercurrent of Himalayan (read Mongolian), Japanese and
North European inspiration was meant for someone who is a world citizen with a
bohemian edge.

Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2013 - Dedicated to devotion
Dolce & Gabbana Fall 2013 was all about connecting to
the Sicilian roots and celebrating religion and faith. Once more for this
season, the designer duo Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana chose ordinary
Sicilians as their models. The designers said that the collection was dedicated
to devotion. The collection with images of repeated haloed Madonnas, crucifixion
of Jesus and scarves edged in gold fringe had a strong religious tone to it and
was indeed a sartorial devotion to faith, belief and roots.

After metallic silk bomber, it is the turn of spicy and
playful animal prints for Burberry men. Chief creative director, Christopher

bold graphic animal prints and playful heart motifs in a classic colour palette
of navy, camel, bone, olive green, purple, black, burgundy and Windsor red.
