‘Quirk-E-Sultanat’ by Quirk Box

Quirky and colourful, Quirk Box presented a collection titled ‘Quirk-E-Sultanat’, inspired by Mugal imagery. Known for their fun and edgy prints, designer duo Jayesh Sachdev and Rixi Bhatia created a collection high on color-blocking, piping, mosaic prints and patterns. The quirkiness of prints and colours like tangerine, lime green, sky blue, turquoise, greys  were beautifully accentuated by fabrics like georgettes, poplins and silk crepes.

The collection focussed on duplicity and duality. Complex yet simple, the unisex collection played with cuts and construction and finer aspects of design story. The unconventional collection was created out of fabrics like organza, cotton, georgette, double sided crepe, and silk flat chiffon in a colour palette of black, grey, silver-grey and white.

Titled ‘Untamed’ the Spring Summer 2014 collection by talented Nikhil Thampi celebrates the power of the sexes and their freedom for uninhibited expression. Through this collection, the designer captures the spirit of the today’s time (Read: Zeigeist), an amalgamation of new age, urbane sophistication with the underlying rebellion against social conformism.

Titled ‘A Summer Affair’ the collection is all about celebrating modern day romanticism. With a colour palette of lavender blue, beige and ivory to blush pink, the collection has an underlying surreal feel of a dream world. Painterly prints (Read:Print on Print),sparkle, thread and metal work detailing and floral married the uniqueness of experimental silhouettes and cuts.
