Red Carpet Alert: Deepika in Marchesa Fall 2017 – Cannes Film Festival 2017

And, there you go! Perhaps the most anticipated red carpet event of the year, the Annual Cannes Film Festival 2017 has started. Indian diva and global ambassador of beauty brand LOréal Paris, Deepika Padukone made a sultry entry at the premiere of 'Ismael's Ghosts (Les Fantomes d'Ismael)’ in a Marchesa Fall 2017 gown. This is her second appearance since 2010, when she wore a ‘oh not so impressive’ Rohit Bal sari.

IBM Watson turns designer, collaborates with Marchesa to create a cognitive dress : MET Gala 2016

As an ex-IBMer myself, keeping up with IBM and its innovations, especially in the field of art and design is something that I hold very close to my heart. At this year’s New York MET Gala held at the prestigious Metropolitan Museum of Art, the theme "Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology," explored the relationship between fashion and technology. And, it doesn’t get much better than this when the technology giant decided to collaborate with the New York based fashion brand Marchesa’s designers Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig to create a one of a kind smart dress to complement the idea behind the event.

Fan Bingbing’s dreamy outing in Marchesa: Cannes Film Festival 2015

On the day two of the ongoing Cannes Film Festival 2015, Fan Bingbing wore an ethereal Marchesa Spring 2015 tulle gown that exuded every bit of a romantic spring vibe. The whimsical soft and feminine grey gown featured exquisite multi-colour, crystal encrusted floral details on the back and the front, thus adding an element of fantasy and drama on the red carpet.

Day 11:Uma Thurman in Marchesa: Cannes 2014 : Red Carpet

Uma Thurman wore a white Marchesa gown at the premiere of ‘A Fistful of Dollars’ during the closing ceremony of the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival. The crane details on the bodice and the back of the gown did look dramatic, however, in spite of all the drama going on, Uma looked pale and unflattering. The fit of the gown around her belly also looks little awkward. What do you have to say folks?

Day 3: Naomi Watts in Marchesa : Cannes 2014: Red Carpet

Naomi Watts wore a Marchesa gown at the premiere of ‘How to train your dragon 2’ at the 67th Cannes Film Festival. The gown featured a sliding Grecian draped shoulder and crystal embroidery on the bodice. Naomi brings in an element of soft elegance on the Red Carpet in this powder blue gown. However, I felt the necklace was an unnecessary addition, as there is enough going on the bodice.

Marchesa Fall 2013

Luxurious fabrics, intricate embroideries, fluid silhouette, fishtail  dresses in a luxurious colour palette and an inspiration drawn from  famous Spanish painter, Francisco Goya's Portrait of Maria Teresa de  Vallabriga on horseback, reminiscent of 18th century romanticism era,  made the Marchesa Fall 013 collection apt for a red carpet event.
