of drapes and ace designer Tarun Tahiliani’s bridal collection at the Aamby
Valley India Bridal Fashion Week 2013 was a spectacular presentation of age old
Indian drapes in various forms. In spite of ornate embroidery and exquisite
traditional thread-work, the collection infused a surprising element of
lightness to bridal wear, a high point that will appeal to every modern Indian
bride. The show was presented in a backdrop of a beautifully choreographed
contemporary dance performance by the students of Bangalore based Attakkalari
centre for movement arts. The dance troupe immaculately portrayed the three
themes of the collection – the Gold, Enchanted Forest and Man of the hour.
