Lupita Nyong’o looked fabulous in a grasshopper green Gucci gown at the opening ceremony and ‘La Tete Haute’ premiere at the 68th Annual Cannes Film Festival. The elegant super breezy chiffon gown featured a cape and embellished crystals and flower details around the neckline.

She did it again! Lupita Nyongo’ was absolutely flawless and was a vision in this Elie Saab Pre-Fall 2015 graphic striped floral motif gown at the 2015 SAG Awards. And, not everyone could have carried this gown with so much of perfection as Lupita did. The plunging neckline and the fuller skirt of the gown created a striking drama on the red carpet. Good going Ms. Nyongo’ !

And, the Style Icon of the Year 2014 is Lupita Nyong’o (Not a surprise)

Apart from winning an Oscar for her role in 12 Years a Slave, Lupita Nyong’o also seduced us with her impeccable red carpet  style and instantly  became fashion’s ‘it’ girl of the year 2014. The year truly belonged to this newcomer and without any questions, she is the Queen of 2014 Red Carpet style. A complete stunner, i love the way she played with colours on the red carpet.

From the time i started blogging, this is one activity that i always look forward to,creating the best dressed list of the year. A time when we look back on every best dressed moment on the red carpet, stars who managed to capture our hearts with their incredible individual style. It was not easy creating the list this year. 2014 was indeed a big year in red carpet style, an overload of some of the finest moments in fashion. And that is why the list of 2014 is three times bigger than it was last year. Thanks to the likes of fashion’s new sweethearts from Lupita Nyong’o to Amal Alamuddin (Mrs. Clooney) and the established ones like Blake Lively to Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's grand entry at the Cannes 2014, the red carpet was flooded with incredibly impressive style moments.
