Gucci Fall Winter 2015: Is this a game changing collection for the ailing brand ? Milan Fashion Week: Womenswear
First and foremost, the old Gucci
girl is no more. The collection clearly indicates Gucci’s shift in direction
from its former creative directors, Frida Gianini’s usual urban and sleek signature
sophistication and Tom Ford’s hyper refined sexiness. Alessandro Michele, the
new creative director of the Italian fashion house, took a complete break from
the past and designed a collection inspired from the romanticism of the streets,
which had a soft and relaxed feel to it, which in itself conveyed a message of
bringing in a state of freedom. Eccentric at times, the new Gucci girl loves
her vintage pieces, geek chic rimmed glasses, berets and fur lined horse-bit loafers,
minus any pretentious sophistication.

News: Alessandro Michele is the new creative director of Gucci
Well people, the guessing game is finally over. Kering
owned luxury brand Gucci has announced the appointment of accessories designer,
Alessandro Michele as the new creative director. Michele will have the total
creative responsibility for all of Gucci’s collection; including its brand image.
He will be filling in Frida Giannini shoes, the outgoing creative director, who
left the Florentin brand, a month earlier than expected.

Gucci after Frida : Gucci Fall Winter 2015 Menswear:Milan Menswear Fashion Week
Five days, yes, that is the
number of days that it took for Gucci to design and produce their Fall winter
2015 menswear runway show, a record in itself. Frida Giannini, the outgoing
creative director, left the Florentin brand, a month earlier than expected, thus
creating a big question mark over the menswear show. But hats off to the group
effort of the design team, the brand was able to pull off the show beyond expectation.
No wonder, at the end of the show, head accessories designer Alessandro Michele
along with his team of designers took a collective bow.

of sensuality and elegance. Impeccably styled, she completed the look with
Lorraine Schwartz diamond earrings and bracelets. Easily one of the best

Gucci Fall 2013 " Celebrating Darkness"
Gucci's woman
for Fall 2013 is confident, modern, mysteriously feminine with an element of
darkness. The collection was an interesting combination of shiny black python, sheer,
hounds tooth prints and blend of jewel tones - gold, blue, forest green, teal as
well as aquamarine, burgundy, burnt orange and oxblood.
