Gucci's woman
for Fall 2013 is confident, modern, mysteriously feminine with an element of
darkness. The collection was an interesting combination of shiny black python, sheer,
hounds tooth prints and blend of jewel tones - gold, blue, forest green, teal as
well as aquamarine, burgundy, burnt orange and oxblood.
Plunging neckline, long
sleeves, hourglass dresses and loosely tailored silhouettes celebrated feminine
curve and also added futuristic edge to the collection. Snakeskin
turtlenecks-interestingly layered underneath a skirt suit, pant suit, sheer panelled
jumper, snake skin pencil dresses and peplum jackets were some of the key
pieces. Silk column gowns with translucent cut-outs were accentuated with feathers
and silk fringe, which added an element of lightness and fluidity to this
collection thus celebrating the darker side of femininity.
