The
set – Marc collaborated with artist Daniel Buren to create the eye grabbing
magical set. The set had four escalators with yellow stripes, emptying out on a
giant yellow and white checked runway. The escalators carried the models in
pairs, down onto the shiny yellow and white checked runway. It was indeed a
treat to watch the symmetry of the show, created by this fabulous set.

Alexander McQueen Spring Summer 2013
Honeybee was
Sarah Burton’s inspiration for the Alexander
McQueen’s Spring Summer 2013 collection. The honeycomb inspired
collection was a spectacular treat, at times extreme and a fine
display of Burton and her team’s unique workmanship. The ultra
feminine collection was a celebration of female forms, empowerment,
nature and erotica.

Philip Treacy’s Spring Summer 2013 @ London Fashion Week
London milliner, Philip Treacy’s Spring Summer 2013 show was
an extraordinary and one of the most glamorous moments at the recently
concluded London fashion week. The legendry Irish milliner returned to the
runway after 13 years & dedicated the show to king of pop, Michael Jackson.
The show was a cast of all black models which in Treacy’s words, was a homage to the African woman and their
sensibility to dress up .A total of 25 black women sashayed up and down the
runway wearing Treacy’s creation and
outfits from MJ’s archive and oh so iconic ‘Thriller Jacket’.

Milan Men's Fashion Week - Versace Spring / Summer 2013
The Medusa House did it again. The
signature Gianni style in the collection instantly takes you back to the 90s
when the Versace element was it its peak. The collection with a strong feel of
adrenaline rush was an ode to Donatella’s hero whom she described as a
“Pugilist - Part Rocky,
part Elvis, part Mr. T,".

Jonathan Saunders Spring/Summer 2013
Jonathan
Saunders drew his inspiration from Hungarian
French op artist, Victor Vasarely’s art work, who was also known as ‘king of
the dots’. The precision with which Saunders combined colours with geometric
(honeycomb) pattern was outstanding and is definitely going to add all the
drama that a stylish boy can add to his Spring 2013 wardrobe.
