Julianne Moore brings Cobra to the red carpet, in Givenchy Couture: Cannes 2016

Returning to her go-to designer, Julianne Moore wore a heavily sequined Givenchy Couture gown at the premiere of “Cafe Society” during the opening gala of the 69th Annual Cannes Film Festival. In spite of its interesting Cobra embroidery and fishtail the overall look didn’t impress me much. I felt the gown looked too busy. What say people?

Madonna continues her peek-a-boo on the Red Carpet - MET Gala 2016

There she goes again! Leave it to the 57 year old queen of pop, mother of four to create the required stir on the red carpet. As always, she left nothing to the imagination by flashing plenty of her assets in the front and back in a sheer black Givenchy number at the MET Gala 2016.

Givenchy Fall Winter 2015 : Fascinatingly Dark:Paris Fashion Week

Inspired by the aggressive facial piercing, sharp penciled eyebrows and curled hair style of the Latin street gangs Chola, and his personal obsession with everything Victorian since childhood,Ricardo Tisci presented a collection which was a narration of his love for a world filled with black, where edginess of Goth blends with the eccentricity of the street culture. The “Victorian-Chola Girl” of Tisci is fiercely Goth in her tailored and ornate pieces.

Embellished faces at Givenchy Fall Winter 2015: Goth-Chic

Titled “Victorian-chola girl”, the Givenchy Fall Winter 2015 runway show was mesmerizingly arresting with its face jewelry, nude make up, curls and braid hair style. The faces embellished with gems and combined with large nose rings and ear pieces had a Goth-chic-vibe to it. Love!

Madonna went ass flashing in a matador-Berlesque inspired Givenchy Dress :Grammy Awards 2015 Red Carpet

Sexy at 56, Madonna went over the top in a Givenchy matador-Berlesque inspired dress at the 2015 Grammy Awards Red Carpet. The singer channelled her latest music video, “Living for Love”, where she dresses as a matador on the Grammy red carpet in a very tight leather corset with lace detailing (too tight for her boobs), thigh high boots, fishnets and a net hat.

Day 11: Li Yuchun in Givenchy Couture :Cannes 2014: Red Carpet

Bold!!! Awful? Or is it about individual style? I reserve my comments. Li Yuchun wore an edgy Givenchy Couture jumpsuit at the premiere of ‘A Fistful of Dollars’ during the closing ceremony of the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival. The black embroidered piece is definitely an unconventional pick for Cannes Red Carpet. Just like her previous look (see here) of the Cannes 2014 Red Carpet, she continued with her androgynous look. Do you like?

Day 3: Cate Blanchett in Givenchy : Cannes 2014:Red Carpet

Cate Blanchett wore a Givenchy Fall 2014 gown at the premiere of ‘How to train your dragon 2’ at the 67th Cannes Film Festival. The gown featured a pleated chiffon skirt and an intricately embellished bodice in different colours. I love the front of the gown; but the back is a complete spoiler. The front does not complement the back. However, I love the modern feel of the gown and Cate wore it incredibly well.

Givenchy Spring 2014: Sensuality & Strength

For Givenchy’s Spring 2014, Riccardo Tisci presented a collection that was high on fluid silhouette and earthy color palette. Choosing to move away from floral and Bambi prints or his signature street style flavour, the collection was inspired by the fragility of Japanese kimono, dramatic draping and jewellery of tribal Africa and even to certain extent elegance of Indian sari.
