Etro S/S 2016: Menswear: Masculine yet Elegant : Milan Fashion Week

Keeping it multicultural, Etro’s spring- summer 2015 collection offered its signature paisley and floral motifs in an array of pieces ranging from jacquard topcoats and shirts to trousers. The ornate patterns were reminiscent of Aboriginal prints and were beautifully infused with the story of the collection.

The 'Eating Arcimboldo' Editorial by Matteo Felici: Men in Print

Featuring male models Harvey James, Matthew Jackman, Alex Klose, Sam Hardwood, Aaron Slocombe, Erik, Niek, Jackson and James, photographer Matteo Felici lensed this handsome print story editorial for Fucking Young! Online publication. Titled, the ‘Eating Arcimboldo’, the editorial has a reference to Italian Renaissance painter Giuseppe Arcimboldo’s art work of imaginative portraits.

Etro Fall 2013 - Philosophy of flow





The theme of the collection was based on pre-Socratic Greek philosopher Heraclitus’ two word philosophy "panta rei" - literally everything flows, meaning that everything is constantly changing.  True to its theme, the collection was indeed a cosmic flow, a journey to far lands for inspiration. The collection with an undercurrent of Himalayan (read Mongolian), Japanese and North European inspiration was meant for someone who is a world citizen with a bohemian edge.

Milan Men's Fashion Week - Etro Spring/Summer 2013 (Indian Summer)

For Etro’s Spring/Summer 2013, Kean Etro took his inspiration from Indian men’s traditional wardrobe. As i mentioned earlier in few of my posts, India and its rich heritage of arts & crafts, prints, textile, vibrant colours & fabric story is definitely becoming an immense source of inspiration for some of the well known global design houses.
