VALLIYAN by Nitya Arora : ‘Iridescent Space’ : Lakme Fashion Week S/R 2015

Titled ‘Iridescent Space’, the collection was inspired by the Star Wars and the futurism of the space age. Silver and solid gold along with gunmetal formed the crux of this imaginary collection, while semi precious stones with marble patterns, and Swarovski crystals brought out the galactic beauty of the signature pieces.

Titled ‘Indian Punk’, the classicism of 17^th century dance form,’ Kathakali’ met the attitude of 'Punk' fashion on the runway at the Lakme Fashion Week, Autumn Winter Festive 2013-14. In addition to a mesmerizing ode to the rich heritage of the designer’s Southern roots, the collection also paid tribute to Nikhil's ‘Grandma’, his ultimate style icon.
