Masaba for Satya Paul A/W'13 at Wills India Fashion Week

For  Satya Paul Autumn Winter 13, Masaba Gupta, the new creative director of Satya Paul injected a fresh perspective to the brand's overall image by bringing in her unique design sensibilities and vision. The collection featuring contemporary cuts, silhouette and fun prints, represents the young, energetic and a new age Satya Paul girl (SP Girl as she says) who is fun and quirky. "We are trying to reposition the brand and so now we are aiming for the young girls instead of women above the age of 30,” said Masaba.

Lipstick prints, ink blot, abstract designs and telephone booth imprints were the four elements that completed the fabulous print story of this collection." The lipstick symbolizes femininity, the abstract stands for basic way of life of a woman, the telephone booth stands for a constant wait and the ink drop for the various changes in a woman’s life, " Masaba said.

The collection in a color palette of white, fun neon, black ,grey, orange, blue and hot pink  offered kaftans, gowns, sheath, saris, palazzo pant saris with stand out neon suspenders, trench dresses, full skirt frocks, printed blouses, embellished jackets and more for Autumn Winter 2013. Silk, satin and crepe completed the fabric story.

This was just a right start or i must say a bold lipstick kissed reinvention of the brand called Satya Paul.
