A current editorial and runway favourite, the Assamese boy, Siddharth Gogoi is truly pushing his boundaries as a new age male model. With his chiselled oriental features, surreal appeal and experimental streak, he represents the new breed of Indian male models. I am glad the mainstream fashion industry in India is gradually opening up to accommodate, appreciate and promote diverse and unconventional looks.
As most of his editorials suggest, Siddharth is one of those very few mainstream male models shaking up the stereotypes and perceived ideas of male masculinity in the Indian fashion industry. There is no doubt; this emerging face from the North East India is going to be the next big thing in the national and international modelling scene in the coming years.
