Titled ‘Audacieux’, which means bold in
French, Indian designer Jyoti Sachdev presented her latest collection at the
Pond’s presents the Lustrous Runway in Bangladesh recently.
The collection was bold in spirit with
its edgy yet traditional silhouettes. The line of designs comprised of a range
of Indian wear combined with western silhouettes which were created using ethnic
fabrics and embellishments. With a crisp blend of textures the offering was in
a fabric story of georgettes, chanderis and slub chanderi.
The designs were an effortless marriage
of contemporary inspirations and traditional aesthetics. Traditional pieces
like Anarkalis and chudidars got a contemporary twist where everything from
fabrics and cuts to embellishments screamed boldness.
