“Amor Vincit Omnia”! Yes,
love conquers all. Love was in the air at the Valentino Spring Summer 2015 Haute
Couture show. Romantic and sophisticated, the collection took its inspiration from
the artwork of Russian painter Marc Chagall and romanticism of Shakespeare’s
poetry. In spite of all the intricate couture details and exquisite embroidery,
the collection had an effortless easy vibe to it.
The ethereal collection featured jeweled pieces in muslin and linen, angel-wing bodices, long wool capes, corset,
Juliet gowns, smocked shirts, barrel dresses, regal velvet and graphic embroidery.
Other stand outs were the white tulle gown that was hand painted in grey and
embroidered with coloured lame, leather flowers appliqués and full skirted
dresses in poetic scripts.Old school yet modern, the designer duo’s is in the
process of giving a modern direction to the timeless elegance of the Valentino
woman.

Absolutely loved the graphic embroidery in Valentino's collection—it really showcases the artistry that goes into couture. It’s inspiring for those of us in custom embroidery digitizing, as it highlights how detailed and expressive embroidery can elevate any piece. Truly a testament to craftsmanship and creativity.
