Red Carpet at Met Ball 2013

Themed, “Punk: Chaos to Couture,” the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute explores the aesthetic of punk fashion in this year’s exhibition. For an event named “Oscars of the East Coast,"  the guest list at The Met Ball on May 6, 2013, saw the who’s who of the fashion industry and Hollywood hit the red carpet .

While some of the guests appropriately embraced the dress code (READ:PUNK), flaunting their punk chic look, most of them left us wondering if they could really interpret the theme.

Ripped fishnet stockings, safety pins, tartan studded jacket, studded belt, zip -front, pink hair and Goth punk makeup added the required drama to the high octane fashion event of the year.
