Few weeks back when the men’s fall 2014 show in London Fashion week came to an end, there was one face that drew a lot of media attention. Christened as male model of the moment, Tarun Nijjer, 19, is a British Indian model, and he was chosen to open and close Burberry Prorsum’s show this year, titled “A Painterly Journey.”

Pitti Uomo is a trade fair (for menswear) held twice a year in the Italian city of Florence. Pitti Uomo has been around since 1972 and is organised by Pitti Immagine whose origins dates back to the early 1950s . Centro di Firenze per la Moda Italiana is the holding company which works to support the Italian fashion system.

Unfortunately Pitti Uomo does not receive the kind of coverage it deserves in the Indian fashion scene; hence we take this opportunity to present the details of the event and some of the styles that were worn by the attendees.

This look is another favorite of mine from this year’s Golden Globe Awards (2014) Red Carpet. The new mom and actress of ‘Witches of East End’, Jenna Dewan- Tatum wore a gorgeous Roberto Cavalli mermaid gown. Jenna rocked the red carpet in this lace illusion creating gown which flaunted her perfect post-baby curves.

The year’s first big and glamorous Red Carpet event, the 71^st Golden Globe Awards was held at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 12, 2014 in Beverly Hills. The night saw the Hollywood A-listers – mix of new & old- creating magic on the red carpet with their style and starry-confidence. While new comer Lupita Nyong’o stunned us in her Red Ralph Lauren Cape gown, ‘Scandal’ star Kerry Washington showed us how to rock and flaunt a baby bump in a custom made Balenciaga gown.

Lady Victoria Harvey’s distasteful attention seeking attempt in a Gaurav Gupta sheer gown at the 71st Golden Globe

Well, the 71^st Golden Globe had its Indian designer Red Carpet moment- courtesy, Lady Victoria Harvey. However, personally I am not super proud of this moment. Ms. Harvey wore a sheer gown with sequin details by Gaurav Gupta to the Weinstein Company and Netflix after party following the Golden Globe awards on Sunday night.
