The collection in totality was an effortless balance of dark and light.A
very wearable, smart & chic collection for today’s ever busy city girl. The
key pieces of the collection were a pair of high- waisted tailored pants with
wide legs which gave the collection an androgynous feel, sporty black satin
bomber, tailored jackets in black and fuchsia, leather motorcycle jacket in
pale pink, tapered pants, a shirt dress with classic trompe l’oeil lace prints,
shift dresses in satin charmeuse , trench coat with leather sleeves and a color
blocked shirt in fuchsia and scarlet worn with a trumpet skirt in zebra prints.
One dress in particular, a black sheer party frock with its playful
feathered trimmings and a bedazzled neckline is indeed a smart choice.
The collection made a unique statement because of use of fabrics such as
silk, satin, lace in contrast with leather and also the addition of graphic
prints enhanced the overall personality of the collection. Oh!!
How can I miss out on the classic wardrobe staple, The Little black dress? It
also got a makeover in Karan’s collection with a contemporary feel to it.
As I mentioned earlier, what i love the most about the collection is the
wearability factor, something that today’s busy city-girl craves for.
