Day 5 : Sonam Kapoor oozes Old Hollywood Glam in an Elie Saab Couture:Cannes 2014 : Red Carpet

I guess most of us were waiting for this moment, especially the fashion blogger community. So here it is. India’s Fashionista Sonam Kapoor wore an Elie Saab Fall 2013 couture gown at the premier of ‘The Homesman’ at the 67h Annual Cannes Film Festival. Her bob hairstyle combined with voluminous skirt of the gown oozed every bit of Old Hollywood glamour and drama. The colour and the structure of the gown can get a little overwhelming for some of us, but I feel she has fabulously worked on the gown. She looked gorgeous in this princess gown. What do you have to say folks?

Day 5 : Freida Pinto in Oscar de la Renta gown: Cannes 2014: Red Carpet

Oh Boy!!! This is red carpet drama. The girl nailed the red carpet. Absolute Love!!! Freida looked super gorgeous in this oh-so-dramatic Oscar de la Renta gown at the premiere of the ‘Homes main’ at the 67th Annual Cannes film festival. The coral color of the gown looked great against her skin tone. The gold sequin embroidery and the asymmetrical hemline combined with her smoky eyes and side parted super sleek ponytail perfectly blended with the very idea of Cannes Red Carpet that we look forward to.

Day 4: Jessica Chastain in Atelier Versace: Electrified :Cannes 2014:Red Carpet

Jessica Chastain electrified the red carpet in this electric blue Atelier Versace gown at the premiere of ‘The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby’, at the 67th Cannes Film Festival. The stunning colour was gorgeous on her skin tone as it was on the red carpet. The asymmetrical neckline combined with the dramatic pleating at the hip and thigh high slit looked exquisite and oozed loads of old Hollywood glamour. For me the gown is every bit of a Cannes Worthy number. Perfection!!!

Day 4 : Lea Seydoux in Prada : Quality Check Please!!! :Cannes 2014:Red Carpet

Lea Seydoux wore an emerald green Prada gown at the premiere of ‘Saint Laurent’ at the 67th Cannes Film Festival. The colour of the gown looked gorgeous on her. The crystal encrusted gliding train and the daringly plunging neckline did add some drama to the red carpet. But, what’s with the poorly sewn side seam of the gown? That looks too cheap. Is that really a Prada gown? Prada needs stringent quality check parameters. For me this is a complete downer on the red carpet. Disappointing!!!

Day 4: Eva Green in an Elie Saab Fall 2013 Couture : Dark Elegance: Cannes 2014:Red Carpet

Eva Green wore an Elie Saab Fall 2013 Couture gown, featuring a heavily embellished bodice and a v cut back, at the premiere of ‘The Salavation’ at the 67th Cannes Film Festival. The rich colour of the gown against her pale skin, the gliding train and her makeup creates an underlying dark drama of seduction on the red carpet. There is something so saw raw about her look, a kind of dark elegance.

Day 4: Natasha Polly in Oscar de la Renta: Cannes 2014:Red Carpet

Natasha Polly wore a dramatic Oscar de la Renta Spring 2014 black tulle gown at the premiere of ‘Saint Laurent’ at the 67th Cannes Film Festival. The Chantilly lace appliqué created a romantic vibe on the red carpet. This is a difficult piece to carry off, but Natasha did manage to pull it off with grace.

Day 4: Eva Longoria in Gabriela Cadena - Gorgeous yet Boring :Cannes 2014: Red Carpet

Eva Longoria wore a fishtail-strapless Gabriela Cadena gown at the premiere of ‘Saint Laurent’ at the 67th Cannes Film Festival. The gown is absolutely gorgeous; however, I get a strong sense of déjà vu. We have seen her wearing the similar kind of looks many times before. It’s high time she starts experimenting with her red carpet looks. None the less she looked gorgeous, but boring too.
