Milan Men's Fashion Week - Gucci Spring/Summer 2013 (Mediterranean Summer)
Keeping the spirit of Mediterranean
spring alive, Giannini presented a collection of sleek jackets, monochromatic
suits, tapered pants, knit wears and foulard shirts in a blazing and energetic
color palette of apple green, crimson red, cobalt, lemon, electric & sky
blue, burnt orange & turquoise to name a few. Other key pieces were double
breasted jacket, which were fitted around the waist that added lot more
structure to this smart and youthful line up, black tux for the evening and net
stitched polo bringing in a feeling of lightness to the collection. Raffia and
cotton with washed effect perfectly complements this cheerful and cruise ready
collection.

For Etro’s Spring/Summer 2013, Kean Etro took his inspiration from Indian men’s traditional wardrobe. As i mentioned earlier in few of my posts, India and its rich heritage of arts & crafts, prints, textile, vibrant colours & fabric story is definitely becoming an immense source of inspiration for some of the well known global design houses.

Burberry goes shiny and vibrant with his collection for Spring /Summer 2013.
Breaking the norms of signature earthy tones, Bailey opts for bright metallic
designs in the colour palette of pink, cyber blue, orange & fuchsia -
something that breaks the monotony of a dull rainy season.

The Medusa House did it again. The
signature Gianni style in the collection instantly takes you back to the 90s
when the Versace element was it its peak. The collection with a strong feel of
adrenaline rush was an ode to Donatella’s hero whom she described as a
“Pugilist - Part Rocky,
part Elvis, part Mr. T,".

Milan Men's Fashion Week - Salvatore Ferragamo Spring 2013
Euro Crunch, Financial Crisis ? Well, there is no denying that the global
market is definitely going through a phase of gloom however the on going
Milan Fashion Week is definitely bringing in a positive message of hope and
bright days ahead. Look at Salvatore Ferragamo's vibrant and colourful
collection for Spring 2013. The collection is energetic, youthful and
refreshing. It looked like as if the entire runaway was painted with vibrant
colours of life and the beautiful world that we live in.

Milan Men's Fashion Week - Bottega Veneta Spring 2013
With its easy going and relaxed silhouette, Bottega Veneta’s Spring
2013 line up was a celebration of spirit of freedom. The key pieces of the
collection by Tomas Maier were the loose pullover tunic tops something that
also resembled the ethnic Indian Kurta, single and double breasted jackets,
slim fitting suits with faded floral prints which looked like stains, tunic
with lace up details at the neck and fringes at the bottom & knitwear.
Milan Men's Fashion Week - Dolce & Gabbana Spring Summer 2013
A wonderfully refreshing concept by Dolce & Gabbana to use
non-professional models - students, waiter, lifeguard, fisherman, barber, house
painter and unemployed , ranging from 11 to 43 years of age, who came all
the way from Sicily to walk the ramp for their Spring/Summer 2013
show in Milan. A Sicilian live band in traditional costume, complete with
mandolins and tambourines played the folk music which brought Sicily to the
runway of Milan.
