Hervé Léger by Max Azria’s Resort 2013

Keeping the signature bandage dress intact, Hervé Léger by Max Azria’s Resort 2013 collection was an explosion of colour and pattern in body-con silhouettes. The collection with its well placed cut outs took inspiration from pop art and comic book, presenting a vibrant and bold collection. With its graphic prints, colour blocking, monochromatic colour, metallic and leather bandage pieces the collection definitely makes a very strong fashion statement. 

Red Carpet Style - The CFDA Fashion Awards 2012

Yesterday i introduced you to The Winners of 2012 CFDA, which was organised on 4th June at Alice Tully Hall,Lincoln Center in New York. No doubts, these winners were the star of the evening however we also had another set of stars strutting down the red carpet making some stunning and not - so - stunning style statement.

2012 CFDA Fashion Awards - The Winners

The 2012 Council of the Fashion Designers of America Awards (CFDA),also known as Oscars of Fashion industry , took place at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Centre in New York  on 4^th June to award the best professionals in the field of fashion.  The biggest names in fashion industry attended   the event to celebrate 50 glorious years of this prestigious award ceremony. 

The Little Black Jacket - Chanel's Classic Revisited

Come August, and all of us will witness the launch of a stunning book – The Little Black Jacket, Chanel's Classic Revisited. Yes, the book is a spectacular tribute to the same iconic Little Black  Jacket that  Coco Chanel made famous. The book has more than 200 pages of portrait photography shot by one and only Karl Lagerfeld and edited and styled by Carine Roitfeld. 

Style Spotlight – Kate Middleton (Catherine, The Duchess of Cambridge)

Britain is celebrating Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee celebration; however it looks like Kate Middleton is stealing all the limelight, especially amongst the fashion circle.As a part of Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee celebration, over a thousand boats took to Thames River on Sunday. Catherine, The Duchess of Cambridge, aka Kate Middleton wore a custom made (modified) Red Alexander McQueen dress, along with LK Bennett nudes and a hat by Lock & Co.

The collection in totality was an effortless balance of dark and light.A very wearable, smart & chic collection for today’s ever busy city girl. The key pieces of the collection were a pair of high- waisted tailored pants with wide legs which gave the collection an androgynous feel, sporty black satin bomber, tailored jackets in black and fuchsia, leather motorcycle jacket in pale pink, tapered pants, a shirt dress with classic trompe l’oeil lace prints, shift dresses in satin charmeuse , trench coat with leather sleeves and a color blocked shirt in fuchsia and scarlet worn with a trumpet skirt in zebra prints. One dress in particular, a black  sheer party frock with its playful feathered trimmings  and a bedazzled neckline is indeed a smart choice.
