Cate Blanchett wore a
Givenchy Fall 2014 gown at the premiere of ‘How to train your dragon 2’ at the
67th Cannes Film Festival. The gown featured a pleated chiffon skirt
and an intricately embellished bodice in different colours. I love the front of
the gown; but the back is a complete spoiler. The front does not complement
the back. However, I love the modern feel of the gown and Cate wore it
incredibly well.

Day 3: Naomi Watts in Marchesa : Cannes 2014: Red Carpet
Naomi Watts wore a
Marchesa gown at the premiere of ‘How to train your dragon 2’ at the 67th
Cannes Film Festival. The gown featured a sliding Grecian draped shoulder and crystal
embroidery on the bodice. Naomi brings in an element of soft elegance on the
Red Carpet in this powder blue gown. However, I felt the necklace was an
unnecessary addition, as there is enough going on
the bodice.

Day 2:Hofit Golan in Gaurav Gupta :Cannes 2014:Red Carpet
Hofit Golan wore a
gorgeous Gaurav Gupta gown at the premier of ‘Mr Turner’ at the 67th
Annual Cannes Film Festival. The custom made gold gown featured a plunging
neckline .She looked elegant. On a different note, I do feel there is too much
of gold going on there, kind of blended with her skin tone and accessories.
Never the less, she looked gorgeous. What do you have to say folks?
Day 2:Cate Blanchett in Valentino :Cannes 2014:Red Carpet
Cate Blanchett wore an
elegant Valentino Pre Fall 2014 sheer gown while attending the Choprad Trophy
at the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival. The metallic floral lace embroidery of the exquisite sheer gown
made Kate look absolutely regal. The feathered
short sleeves created a delicate feel. I love the harmony of her overall look.
Easily one of the best dressed. J’adore!!!
Day 2: Julianne Moore in Louis Vuitton, Blake Lively in Chanel,Liya Kebede in Roberto Cavalli,Zoe Saldana in Jason Wu:Cannes 2014:Red Carpet
Now this is one edgy look
on the red carpet. Julianne Moore wore a custom Louis Vuitton gown at the
premier of ‘Mr Turner’ at the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival. Though she
carried the look to a certain extent, however, I am still not buying it.
The red carpet glam quotient is completely missing. What do you have to say
folks?

Day 1: Blake Lively looks stunning in a Gucci gown :Cannes 2014:Red Carpet
Uber-glam!!! Blake Lively
looked stunning and was every bit of a diva in this beautiful Gucci gown at the
premiere of ‘Grace of Monaco’ at the 67th Cannes Film Festival. The wine colour of the gown
looked absolutely gorgeous on her. She rocked the red carpet with the right amount
of sensuality and elegance. Impeccably styled, she completed the look with
Lorraine Schwartz diamond earrings and bracelets. Easily one of the best
dressed.
Day1: Zhang Ziyi in a futuristic gown from Stéphane Rolland Spring 2014 Couture :Cannes 2014:Red Carpet
Zhang Ziyi wore a
futuristic dramatic gown from Stéphane Rolland Spring 2014 Couture collection
at the premiere of ‘Grace of Monaco’ at the 67th Cannes Film Festival.
I love the drama, the contrast of the bodice and the skirt. Not many could
carry this look, but Zhang made the unconventional and edgy gown work on her. I
love her adventurous streak on the red carpet.
Day 1: Jane Fonda in an Elie Saab Fall 2013 couture gown :Cannes 2014:Red Carpet
And this is what you call
ageing gracefully. The grand dame of Hollywood, Jane Fonda wore an Elie Saab
Fall 2013 couture gown at the premiere of ‘Grace of Monaco’ at the 67th
Cannes Film Festival. Jane was ravishingly gorgeous and sexy in this delicate
beaded long-sleeve gown. The gown fits her like a dream, what a gorgeous body.
And yes, she is in her 70s.
Day 1 :Gong Li in a Roberto Cavalli Spring 2014 gown:Cannes 2014:Red Carpet
Gong Li wore a sheer
Roberto Cavalli Spring 2014 gown at the premiere of ‘Grace of Monaco’ at the
67th Cannes Film Festival. The gown with detailed design and leather trim
looked gorgeous on the actress. Though personally I am not a big fan of sheer, however, I
feel Gong Li did justice to the gown. On a different note, the colour of the gown
does not give a spring vibe.
Day 1: Paz Vega in Elie Saab, Zoe Saldana in Victoria Beckham & Carole Bouquet in Chanel:Cannes 2014:Red Carpet
Paz Vega looked stunning
in an Elie Saab Spring 2014 Couture cocktail dress at the premiere of ‘Grace of
Monaco’ at the 67th Cannes Film Festival. The feminine floral and
pearl detailing of the dress looked elegant.
Paz was pretty in this dress minus the Red Carpet drama. I found her
choice of footwear somewhat boring.
Day 1: Laetitia Casta in a Dior Spring 2014 couture gown:Cannes 2014 Red Carept
Laetitia Casta wore a
Dior Spring 2014 couture gown at the premiere of ‘Grace of Monaco’ at the 67th
Cannes Film Festival. The gown with crystal and organza appliqué looked very
shapeless on her and didn’t flatter her in any way. And what’s with those black
pumps, a complete misfit. The back too looks quite boxy.

Nicole Kidman in Altuzarra Fall 2014(Graceful except the Botox!) : Cannes Red Carpet 2014
So
here it is, the first image from the Red Carpet of Cannes 2014. The biggest and
the most awaited Red Carpet event of the year, Cannes 2014 starts from today
and will continue till 25th May 2014. Nicole Kidman attended the
photocall of her movie ‘Grace of Monaco’ in a white Altuzarra Fall 2014 dress.
I would say this is a good start on the Red Carpet. The crepe dress with side
pleat sleet and slashed sleeves looked flawless on her and was a perfect choice
for a photocall.
