Is
this resemblance a coincidence or straight-up copy, or a standard industry
practice now? Raf Simons presented his Dior Pre-Fall 2015 collection yesterday in
Tokyo, Japan. What really caught my attention were the sequined turtleneck pieces,
which were the exact copy of the ones from Atto Resort 2014 collection.
Intentional or unintentional, the striking resemblance naturally raises few
questions :-)

The wait is over. John Galliano to present his ‘Artisinal’ Haute Couture collection on Jan 12, 2015

this is the news all Galliano lovers were waiting for, a reason to smile, the news
that made my day. The recently appointed creative director of Maison Martin
Margiela, John Galliano will present his first ‘Artisinal ‘Haute-Couture
collection in London on January, 12, 2015. Later in the month, the collection
would also be presented ‘only by appointment’ during Paris couture week (Jan.
25 to 31).

world’s largest beading wedding gown is created by Minnesota based dress maker
Gail Be, who has no formal training in dress design and also confesses that she
does not even know how to turn on a sewing machine. She does not illustrate or
pre-sketch or use mathematical calculations in any of her designs.

Shoes: Pleasure and Pain: Victoria and Albert Museum Exhibition 2015
The Victoria and Albert Museum, London, world’s
largest museum of decorative arts and design, has announced that its Autumn exhibition
for 2015 will be Shoes: Pleasure and Pain. The exhibition will run from 13 June
2015 until 31 January 2016, and will explore the extremes of footwear from
around the globe, its cultural significance and transformative capacity.
