Christopher Bailey, the creative director of
Burberry goes shiny and vibrant with his collection for Spring /Summer 2013.
Breaking the norms of signature earthy tones, Bailey opts for bright metallic
designs in the colour palette of pink, cyber blue, orange & fuchsia -
something that breaks the monotony of a dull rainy season.
Bailey kept the classic Burberry tailoring
intact while injecting eye popping colours, geometric prints & patterns to
this fresh, unconventional and youthful collection.
Some of the key pieces of this sartorial
collection were - bomber, metallic shirts, slim suits in Glen Plaids, narrow
trouser with two pleats at the front, fuchsia foil trench, military jackets
& metallic leather blousons.
The vibrant, shiny & energetic line - up with its electric eye popping colours - ignoring the metallic sandal that was paired with the black socks - is a fine balance of conventional and contemporary fashion in the world of menswear. A collection that pushes all the boundaries and embraces a shiny future.
