Time
to get camouflaged. The collection was a
perfect blend of prints and camouflage and only Dries Van Noten could do this
with his unique and authentic design sensibility.
Camouflage
prints were seen on shirts, crisp shorts, trousers and jackets in this fluid
but at the same time structured ensemble in a colour palette of classic beige,
green & khaki. Other key pieces of the collection were orange shantung
blazer, parkas, tapered pants, nylon jackets, over sized sweater in multi hue,
sheer shirts and tops.
With
this presentation Dries shows a different way to integrate camouflage prints
& patterns to a contemporary men’s wardrobe. Dries also took inspiration
from fencing as he felt that it has its own elegance and the same could be seen
on a jacket with Velcro lapel and quilted white vests that looked like
breastplates.
This
hyper masculine collection is indeed a fresh & a genuine approach towards
men’s fashion.
