The 25 Best Looks from the 72nd Golden Globe Red Carpet

The first major red carpet event of the year, the 72nd Golden Globe Awards 2015 were held on Sunday, 11, Jan, 2015 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel . This year the leading ladies channelled old Hollywood glamour on the red carpet with their white and metallic gowns. In a sea of heavenly whites and metallic, the sudden dash of yellow, orange and red added the much needed colour on the red carpet.

Most of the beauties played it safe with their custom made gowns, except few like Emma Stone, who wore a classy yet sporty Lanvin jumpsuit, Sienna Miller’s daring Miu Miu dress featuring a never ending plunging neckline – sexy yet glamorous or for that matter Lorde’s pant suit number worn with a crop top- a fresh take on the red carpet. The new entrant, and one of the most anticipated fashionista of the year 2015,  Amal Clooney looked great in her Dior gown, however, I feel her white gloves were a bit of distraction and were really not required.

As always, the queen of the red carpet, Lupita Nyong’o continued her red carpet dominance and stunned us in a lilac Giambatista Valli Couture. And yes, Diane Kruger can never go wrong on the red carpet. Her Emilia Wickstead Spring 2015 gown looked divine. Dakota Johnson’s mesmerised us in her shimmery strapless Chanel Couture Fall 2014 gown. She added an extra dash of sparkle on the red carpet. Julianne Moore showed us how to wear metallic and feather on the red carpet in a Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci gown. Kate Hudson looked sexy yet sophisticated in a cut out white Atelier Versace gown. And, yes, she brought the sexy back on the red carpet.
