After a gap of almost seven years, London based
designer Todd Lynn relaunched his men’s wear collection last year during Spring
Summer 2015, and this year, he presented his Fall winter 2015 men’s and women’s
collection together during London Collections: Men.
Non- conformist, futuristic
and anti- traditional, with its androgynous essence, the collection was inspired
by the rebellious and energetic nature of youth culture – no wonder the gender
difference was explicitly blurred. The collection was a story about the anxiety
of the future, how the world is going to transform and what it has in store for
us.
The sleek collection
revolved around the idea of wearing one piece in different ways. Attach and
detach was the name of the game - a military coat had the option of
transforming itself into a cape or for that matter a shawl collar could be converted
into a fringe evening scarf. In a monochrome colour palette of acid green,
black, midnight blue and white, convertible shearling coats and biker jackets
were paired with slim trousers.Todd’s outing was a story of our journey to a progressive
future.
