Valentino presents the ‘MIME’ collection for Spring Summer 2015: Classically Contemporary

Inspired by the 18th century tradition of the Grand Tour, a cultural-educational trip taken by the young Europeans to discover the art, history, philosophy and traditions of Italy, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli presents Valentino’s new spring summer 2015 offering - the ‘MIME’ collection.

The designer duo translated their inspiration into exquisite baroque foulard prints, with distinct colours, which features five major motifs for the season – Blossom, Leaf, Flower, Eyes, Arabesque and Flower Dot. The luxury leather used for the shoes and bags is printed using an innovative digital technique, and combined together to create an interesting patchwork finish.

And, above all the stylised presentation of the collection is truly fascinating in itself - floral print accessories placed over a matching backdrop create a magical collage imagery. The accompanying film of the collection is a visual delight that uses enthralling kaleidoscopic imagery to bring out the beauty of the collection.
