and uniquely creative Ken Ferns never fails to impress us with his choice of unconventional
and dramatic themes, styling, artistic vision, strong silhouette and flamboyant
designs.
Taking
inspiration from the phenomenon of the first appearance of the moon over the
earth’s horizon termed ‘Moonrise’, Ken’s yet to be unveiled collection at the
Lakme Fashion Week will feature prints of trees and certain creatures of the
night which according to him will add mesmerizing and beautiful layer to the
very vision of a mysterious pale moonlit sky.
“Moon rise portrays a solemn and mysterious landscape that has
inspired me to personify this concept into a collection of constructed and
slightly futuristic appeal,” Ken explains.”The moon with its magical surface
and luminance allows me to use the colors that are much shooting to the eye,
like a very controlled ivory and diluted watery gold, dusty beige and deep
greys.”
Ken
Ferns will present his collection on 24th August, 2013 at 1200 PM.
