Sonam’s bling-y rendezvous on the red carpet, in custom Elie Saab Couture - Cannes Film Festival 2017

Sonam Kapoor wore a generously embellished custom Elie Saab couture number during the premiere of “The Meyerowitz Stories” at the 70th annual Cannes Film Festival.

Though she looked cinematically regal, I feel she went overboard with her accessories. The couture piece was already heavily embellished and those hand accessories (Read: haath- phool ) by Kalyan Jewels were just unnecessary.  For me this is just another signature Elie Saab look, very predictable. Personally I expect a lot more from Sonam when it comes to her Cannes red carpet outing. In spite of all the bling there was something dull about this look. This was a tad disappointing.
