Quirky
and colourful, Quirk Box presented a collection titled ‘Quirk-E-Sultanat’,
inspired by Mugal imagery. Known for their fun and edgy prints, designer duo
Jayesh Sachdev and Rixi Bhatia created a collection high on color-blocking, piping,
mosaic prints and patterns. The quirkiness of prints and colours like
tangerine, lime green, sky blue, turquoise, greys were beautifully accentuated by fabrics like
georgettes, poplins and silk crepes.

‘Ikai’

‘Ikai’
by Ragini Ahuja presented a collection that was contemporary yet ethnic. Chevron
and innovative tie-dye prints, leather appliqué, and layered pieces were some
of the key highlights of this collection. With a colour story of earthy tones,
dull gold, metallic, whites and nudes, and fabrics like georgettes and sheer,
the designer featured shorts, tunics, crop tops, dresses, jackets, overcoats, sarees
and kaftans, in unconventional and playful silhouettes.

Aarti
Vijay Gupta’s collection was inspired by ‘Indian Miniature Paintings’ of 16th
to 19th century. The collection was a prints galore, flora and fauna
and portraits in array of pieces ranging from dresses and sarees to bandhgalas.
Use of fabric like Habutai silk complemented the essence of this art inspired
collection.
