yes, FINALLY!!! So here we have the first look of Mademoiselle C, a documentary based on one of the most loved fashion maverick
and style icon Carine Roitfeld. The much anticipated documentary on former
Vogue Paris editor Carine Roitfeld is produced by the same company behind “The
September Issue”. The documentary directed by Fabien Constant, tracks Carine’s journey
and challenges as she launches the debut issue of her new magazine CR FashionBook.
From
the trailer, one can see that the documentary also gives us a glimpse of 58
year old ultra-chic grandmother’s personal life, with a mention of her husband Christian
Restoi to whom she is married for last 30 years. “I have a very calm life:
after 30 years I’m still with the same man. So my fantasy went into my fashion
photos," she quips.
On
her thoughts on leaving Vogue Paris, “When you leave Vogue Paris, you leave
your crown, “she says. With special appearances by the likes of Karl Lagerfeld,Kate
Upton, Michael Kors, Tom Ford, Donatella Versace and even her daughter and red
carpet favourite Julia Restoin-Roitfeld,
this is going to be one of a kind documentary project in the world of fashion.
The
documentary will be released in the US on September 11 and in London's Cine
Lumiere on September 20. One can also pre-order the
DVD released on September 30.
