Gown made of Gummy Bears (Homage to Late Alexander McQueen)

A gown that screams – Eat me ; ). New York based TWELV magazine recreated Alexander McQueen‘s iconic rainbow feather-printed gown from his Spring ’08 collection.
For the debut issue of  the magazine, the  Editor-in-Chief, Hissa Igarashi and Fashion Editor, Sayuri Marakumi  took 3 weeks  to construct  the gown using 50,000 gummy bears in  multicolor with steel wire which were twisted into the shape of  a gown covered with a sheet of vinyl. Each gummy bear was glued on by hand and it weighed whopping 220 pounds. No wonder Jessica Pitti, the model needed 3 people to move around and the shoot almost took 5 hours. This is indeed a masterpiece and a beautiful homage to the late designer.
Now isn't that a delicious design ?
