Men in Dots : Polka dots for Summer 2013
Majority of the
male species think that polka dots are only for the women. Well, this is a
complete fashion myth. Polka dots are a fun and refreshing way to take a plunge
into your summer holiday mood. All that matters is the size of the dots (Read:
Polka) and how you wear it. I am not saying that you have to cover yourself in
dots from head to toe. That looks good only on runways. Even a subtle hint of
polka dots (Read: in the form of accessories) can enhance your style quotient
and break the monotony of a basic look.

Shivan & Narresh Cruise Resort'13 at WIFW
Taking
inspiration from the Naïve art form
of French Post-Impressionist artist, Henri Julien Félix Rousseau’s “Boy on the Rocks”, the designer duo, Shivan
& Narresh presented a collection that beautifully echoed Nicholas Pioch’s
comments on the painting, “Only
a child can so bestride the world with such ease, and only a childlike artist
with a simple, naïve vision can understand this elevation and make us see it as
dauntingly true."
Vaishali S's A/W'13 at WIFW (Magical Assam)
Mekhela Chadar (Assamese: মেখেলা চাদৰ), the traditional attire of the Assamese women was the inspiration
for Vaishali S’s Autumn Winter’13 collection at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion
Week. She recreated the magic and beauty of traditional Assamese muga silk, pat
and intricate hand woven ornamental design with a contemporary twist, thus
bringing the region’s rich and exotic textile design story to the mainstream of
Indian fashion.
